This is my personal site! It's a place where I can express myself, post my content (like art, photos, etc.), and retreat here in case the Internet is very exhausting (spoiler alert: it happens a lot). This site is part of 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙮𝙨𝙨 network, which I'll explain further below.
Throughout the years, I've been changing the site's look constantly since I was not satisfied with it at all. Even the content was sort of cluttered. After a lot of thinking, I thought about restarting this site, and so I did. I basically have two sites to keep things organized, each with a fairly simple layout so things are a little easier to manage. I'm still in the process of smoothing things out, like having better link redirecting (since this site uses frames) and filling in new content.
I often work on this site whenever I want to add new content or update it with a new blog entry. It's become a hobby of mine at this point.
This page also has a site awards page, but I don't have any awards as of yet! Please be patient, I'll have to apply for those soon when I'm satisfied with my site.
My site profile can be found here.
𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙮𝙨𝙨 isn't some special domain (too broke for that), but it's a network for all the things I have created. This pretty much ranges from sites, story projects, OCs, and all of that crap. In terms of Neocities, it's the site you're on right now, split into separate sites for organizational purposes. Aside from that, it's also a story-centric universe for all of my stories! The name itself doesn't have too much meaning as of yet, but considering the overrarching theme of my stories... (eyes emoji)
𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙖 is split into multiple sites. Currently the only sites that are up are my personal site (in which you're here!) and my UTAU site. But... I'll adding more sites in the future as time progresses! So here's a list of sites you might want to look forward to:
So I guess that's it! :D
Back in 2014, my initial experience with making your own websites was that it was a place where you could host your UTAUs' profiles and voicebanks, including the USTs you have made. That sort of gave me the mindset that I don't really need to make a personal site of my own, considering that I wasn't the type of person who'd express themselves a lot. But I'll save that history for my UTAU site, as it's much appropriate over there.
Then in 2019, I decided it was time for me to build a personal site of my own. The thing was, I did not know a single lick of whatever the fuck HTML is, and my knowledge prior to building a site out of HTML was because of fiddling around with Tumblr themes and whatnot. I was in high school, and one of my courses included web wesign. So that was a good thing! Because I thought that it would give me some nice knowledge on HTML coding. And it did.
I should mention that before I took web design, I made a Neocities site in 2017, when I had an idea to move sites as usual. The fact that you had to build a site entirely out of HTML was something that turned me off, but then that I had web design as one of my classes, and I thought that maybe I should give Neocities another chance.
Before actually using Neocities, a lot of the sites I've seen have this simple, modern, minimalistic look. There's no outstanding aesthetic or anything. My notion of sites was that they all had that look, and over time, I grew tired of how bland-looking these sites looked. Hell, even the current site builder I was using (Weebly) only offered minimalist sites. Not to say that all minimalist sites are bad, they're just not my sort of thing. So I looked around the many sites that were hosted on Neocities, and noticed a pattern: they all had their own unique aesthetic - retro, cutesy, vaporwave, there're a lot of aesthetics I saw in these sites, entirely made out of HTML. And knowing that Neocities advocated for site creativity, I started to think that maybe HTML would give me the freedom and creativity to make my site however I want it to look.
I did not have a certain aesthetic in mind while I was building my site using a premade template and all. I kept on revamping my site because after a while, the aesthetic it had did not suit me at all, probably because my ideal look of my site kept changing constantly. And then came how unorganized my site was. I had both of my personal and UTAU content in one site, and the way how my site was structured was very messy. This pretty much prompted me to actually "restart" my site. I used another template that was easier to manage, and decided to split my site into two separate sites - one for my personal content, and one for my UTAU content. Each have their own simple aesthetic, and to be honest, I actually like it! It looked less overwhelming compared to previous iterations of my site, and I felt like I could actually put more content in it for some reason.
I'm still an amateur at fiddling with HTML, and sometimes I think about having a certain layout on my site and there're templates that accomplish that task. Maybe I'll make my very own template someday...! For now, I'm satisfied with how my site looks.
Along with my rebrandings, this site also went through a name change! You may have known that this site was previously called salsa☆collective.
None as of yet!
